The ISO/IEC 42001:2023 standard is the world’s first international standard dedicated to Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (AIMS). Published in December 2023, it provides a structured framework for developing, deploying and using AI systems responsibly, ethically and transparently, while managing AI-specific risks.

The ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer certification (PECB) validates your ability to design and lead an AI Management System compliant with this standard in any organisation developing or using artificial intelligence technologies.

• ISO/IEC 42001:2023: structure, scope and key concepts

• Key vocabulary (ISO/IEC 22989, 23053, 24028)
• Organisational context and interested parties in an AI context

Day 2 — AIMS Planning

•  Leadership and executive commitment to AI governance
• AI policy: ethical principles, objectives and scope
• AI risk assessment: identifying bias, failures and impacts
• Fundamental Rights Impact Assessment (FRIA)
• AI-specific controls: Annex A and Annex B of the standard

Day 3 — AIMS Implementation

• Responsible AI system development: documentation, traceability, testing
• Training and validation data governance
• Algorithmic transparency and explainability (XAI)
• Model lifecycle management: deployment, monitoring, retirement
• Operational control and organisational controls
• Third-party AI supplier and vendor management

Day 4 — AIMS Evaluation and Improvement
